Having the safety report done as well? Tap the bundle offer below - one visit prices the pair.
Tap to add it to your total. Board-only is £625, so the bundle gets the whole safety report for £50 more. Large boards are priced after a quick photo.
- A fault, a trip, something dead. A fixed-price fault-finding visit is £149, credited in full against the repair if we do the work. How fault finding works
- Items an inspection turned up. Send the report over and each coded item is priced against the code, in writing, with no obligation to have any of it done.
- A rewire or bigger works. Open the item-by-item builder further down and price the whole property yourself.
- Several addresses. Landlords and agents get every property priced individually before approving anything. How block bookings work
Not on that list? Ring 07836 535100 and describe it - that is usually faster than any form.

Anyone living there while we work?
Tick this and every per-point price allows for working carefully around a furnished, lived-in home.
This is your price, built from the same rate card we quote from, and fixed in writing before any work starts. It only changes if you change the job, and we agree that with you first. Awkward access or a board that has to move is our problem to plan for, not yours to pay for - we never raise a price we have agreed. If a visit turns up something very different from what you entered, we talk it through honestly. Plaster make-good and decoration are NOT included in rewire work - we recommend a decorator and will coordinate.

Occupied property? Per-point prices above are multiplied - the base rates assume an empty or new-build property.

Every price is confirmed before any work starts. Nothing goes in the diary until you have the figure, and nothing gets done on the day that you have not agreed to.
What moves the price
- The number of circuits. This is the big one. A one bed flat with five ways in the board is a very different job from a five bed house with an outbuilding, a garden supply and a granny annexe.
- The type of property. Flats, houses, converted houses and shared houses each test differently, particularly where the supply is split between units.
- Access. A board boxed into a fitted cupboard, a loft with no boards down, or a property where the meter is in a neighbouring cupboard all add time.
- The state of the installation. If the board is unlabelled and nothing is documented, working out what feeds what takes longer than testing it does.
- Whether anyone is living there. For rewire work, chasing walls carefully around a furnished, occupied home takes longer than an empty one - the builder above has a tick box for exactly this, so the number you see is honest.
- Where you are in the county. Bournemouth and Poole are close to home. Lyme Regis, Portland and the far side of Blandford Forum are a longer run, and we price honestly rather than pretending distance is free.
- How many properties. Several addresses booked as one run are cheaper to service than the same properties spread over separate weeks, and we reflect that in the quote.
Why the remedials are priced separately
Bundling repairs into the report price gives an electrician a reason to find work. Keeping them apart means the report is just the report. You get the codes, then you get a quote against each one, and you decide what happens next. If nothing needs doing, nothing gets sold to you.
Landlords and agents with several properties
Send the list of addresses and each one is priced individually, so you can see the total before you approve anything. Visits are grouped by area so the run makes sense.
Is the price fixed or an estimate?
Fixed, and in writing. The only thing that changes it is you adding work, and we price that in writing too before we do it.
Do I pay if the report comes back unsatisfactory?
Yes. You are paying for the inspection and the report, and an unsatisfactory outcome is a valid result. It is arguably the more useful one, because it tells you what to deal with.
Do you charge to quote the remedials?
No. If we wrote the report, pricing the items on it is part of the job.
Can I get the fuseboard done at the same visit?
Yes - that is exactly what the £675 bundle is. The new consumer unit goes in, then the whole installation is tested and the EICR certificate is issued in the same visit. If you would rather test first and decide about the board afterwards, we do it that way instead.
What happens after I press "Send my quote"?
Your itemised quote lands with us straight away, with your contact details. We ring you back fast, talk it through, and confirm the figure in writing. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed until you have that written confirmation and say yes to it.
Do you charge extra for travel within Dorset?
Distance is one of the things that goes into the quoted price rather than a separate line added afterwards. You get one figure that covers the visit.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer against an invoice with the property address on it. Agencies can be invoiced with whatever reference your system needs.
Rather just talk it through?
Postcode, property type and roughly how many circuits. Not sure? Describe the board and we work it out.
